Kalki 2898 AD is the latest Pan-India film which has officially released in theaters on June 27, 2024. The screentime of this action sci-fi thriller film is around 3 Hours 1 minute.
Story: The story of this film revolves around Prabhas aka Bounty Hunter Bhairava who lives in a dystopian world 6000 years later after Kurukshetra. So, Bhairava lives a normal life but dreams to live in COMPLEX, which is a place built by villain Saswata Chatterjee aka Yaskin. Interestingly, Yaskin is also a small villain as the main villain here is none other than Kamal Haasan aka Supreme. Even the film features Deepika Padukone aka Sumathi who is a pregnant lady and the world’s future depend upon her baby. The film also features Amitabh Bachchan aka Ashwatthama who is related to both Bhairava and Sumathi in different ways. The film is more of a mythological rather than a Sci-fi movie. There are a lot of twists and turns in this film and you need to watch it to know all.

Bollywood Crazies Opinion: The story is excellent and has been presented in a good way. The screenplay is a bit slow in the first half but the second half was great. There are many comedy scenes in the first half which I felt irritating after few minutes and I am happy that the director made second half pretty serious. Talking about performances Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan sir have stole the show from the hands of Prabhas and Deepika. The main pillar of this film was one and only Big B. Director Nag Ashwin did a great job in making this extraordinary film. His vision is big and he did deliver it to some extent. The production value is good and that makes scenes logical and believe. I personally liked Big B’s younger version as if I am watching his angry young man avatar after so many years. Right from the concept till execution, I find this film original and par to Hollywood big studio films. Prabhas has finally delivered a big film and Hindi audience will also get attracted due to Big B. The content is good and most importantly the intent of the filmmaker. I personally feel excited for Nag Ashwin’s vision as he made a big film with only few loopholes. There are hardly any songs and they don’t even matter as well. There are many cameos in this movie which will be liked by audiences especially in South India. The VFX is good but could have been better and it is less effective than Brahmastra VFX. The Hindi dubbing is also average. In short, Kalki 2898 AD has all element to become the biggest ever Blockbuster in India in 2024.
Kalki 2898 AD budget is reportedly around 600 crores and there are big chances that this film will recover that cost it easily.
